Intel Involved gives our employees the chance to give something back to the communities in which they work. Through the programme, they can volunteer to help with a wide range of projects. In the past these have included teaching people how to use computer applications, environmental conservation, painting and refurbishing community buildings, assisting with youth and senior citizen groups and helping local charities.
In 2008 Intel employees volunteered 56,957 hours to community and education related projects. Over the year 35% of employees on site gave their time to volunteer at least once.
All projects are advertised internally and employees are encouraged to pick projects in which they can put their knowledge and experience to work for the advantage of the community. If you have a suggestion for a project, or you’d like to find out more about Intel Involved, please contact:
